Keep Alberta RCMP stops in Pincher Creek

As the UCP government is currently conducting engagement sessions with municipalities on the possibility of transitioning to a provincial police force, the union which represents 20,000 RCMP officers across Canada is holding their own session across Alberta in an effort to prevent that from happening.

“Their own survey showed the vast majority of the province did not support this idea; putting it second last on a list of priorities,” Michelle Boutin vice president of the National Police Federation (NPF) said while speaking to Pincher Creek residents on Jan 19.
