Mayor Sandy Bowman said he does not want to see the RCMP replaced with a provincial police force. He said in a Tuesday interview he would need to see data, such as community input and funding models, to reconsider.
“One of the factors to change to a provincial police force would be if it was going to be more cost effective, which I don’t think it would be, but that would have to be one of the reasons to advocate for it,” Bowman said in a Tuesday interview.
