The Keep Alberta RCMP Community Engagement Tour came to Wainwright on Tuesday, February 15, to share their views on the Government of Alberta’s proposal to transition away from the RCMP to an Alberta Provincial Police Service.
Kevin Halwa and Jeff McGowan, Directors for the Prairie and North Region of the National Police Federation, gave a presentation to about 30 people at the Wainwright Legion. The crowd included MLA Garth Rowswell, Wainwright Mayor Bruce Pugh and other elected officials from villages in the Wainwright area.
